Right. Openness is a good campaign slogan, but every government wants to operate entirely in secret.

: : I agree. Secrets that might endanger our troops around the world should be protected, but I suspect those kinds of military secrets ARE protected. The diplomatic cables are just day-to-day embassy business, a lot of it just diplomatic gossip. They just want to hide all government business from the people (us).
