Also get ready for an endless line of right wing fanatics screaming treason, treason, treason, and that saying that people who release government information should be put in prison - or maybe even executed. They are revealing their real agenda, to make the US a Christian-based police state, one in which THEY are in charge and the people who disagree with them get locked up.
: Jun is exactly right, but get ready for an endless line of spin doctors appearing on cable TV saying how the release of ANY government business might endanger our troops or our spies. They have been doing government in secret and they want to keep it that way. They are like the father who tells the child (us) we know what's best for you so just let us take care of it.
: : I agree. Secrets that might endanger our troops around the world should be protected, but I suspect those kinds of military secrets ARE protected. The diplomatic cables are just day-to-day embassy business, a lot of it just diplomatic gossip. They just want to hide all government business from the people (us).
: : : In the midst of all the National Inquirer type revelations to be found in the leaks the real issue is being overlooked: what aspects of government business should be secret They are using the usual ploy of national security in order to hide what they are really doing.
