Now, I've been told it is cozy mystery, then another said no, young adult fiction. I think it kind of reads like a "Hallmark" movie. Parts are serious - other parts light-hearted. I am continuing with creating backstories so I can keep my facts straight throughout the story (back story facts come out only when needed). I'm just trying to see if I fit into a mystery category - a young adult category - a hybrid of categories - Is their such a thing as a "family-friendly" genre? Thanks for sharing.
Amnesia stories are always a mystery. The type of mystery depends on what he learns about himself. He may have formerly been something extraordinary, which could move it into almost any genre.
