No need to pick only on the republicans. All any politician cares about is getting reelected, and getting reelected takes money. And why did they get into politics in the first place? For the power. Big egos, big sexual appetites.

: How do they expect to get reelected? With money. They think money (advertising) buys votes, so they go for the money and the rest of the people can go to hell.

: : Did I hear right? The Senate passes a payroll tax reduction bill that will help middle class folks who are struggling due to the weak economy that Wall Street and the bankers created, but the House Republicans vote it down and leave for Christmas vacation?

: : It feels like nothing is going to ever get done in Congress because they are trying to go forward while dragging an anchor - the Republicans.

: : It's surprising the Republicans are so blatantly trying to help businesses and the rich at the expense of the middle class. How do they expect to get re-elected that way?
