In today's sad 21st-century world, assassinations have become everyday stuff, just another tool in the CIA's arsenal. These days, if the US government sees anybody as a threat, the solution is simple: kill them.
Is this some cynical movie of the future, or is this really happening? How did we get to this level of cruelty and insensitivity?
If they made a movie version of this, the cause of this incredible deterioration in a country's morality would be obvious: the people of the evil country have become robot-like automatons interested only in the TV sitcoms and the fantasy books about wizards and vampires the government is feeding them to keep their minds simple and uncaring.

: CIA operatives assassinated an American citizen (without a trial or even a military hearing) that they "suspected" of inspiring people to make trouble for the US. (A few foreigners were also "accidentally" assassinated at the same time, but that's everyday stuff so who cares about those humans.)
