: : : Here is my analysis. The reason Trump is winning is NOT because the Republican party has gone crazy; it is because many Americans are caught up in the polarization that has become the norm in 21st century America. Nobody seems to be noticing that the Trump voters are NOT Republicans. They are people who have never voted before (at many of the polling places, they are running out of the forms used to sign up new voters). In other words, they are people who turned out specifically to vote for Trump. They like his "against" rhetoric - against the establishment, against politicians against anybody not white. Yes, they are racists, but not in the traditional anti-black sense - they dislike anybody who is not like them.

: : A good analysis. It doesn't matter that the entire media is blatantly against Trump, there is a certain class of people who are going to vote for him no matter that the news media and the Republican "establishment" thinks. You are right, they are not Republicans, they are Americans who are fed up with how "everything" is going in their country.

: You left out one thing. Why did Trump choose to run as a Republican? He used to be a Democrat, who why did he switch? The answer can only be that he saw something in Republican voters that he thought would respond to his aggressive anti-everything message. Turns out, he was right.

Good points about why Trump chose to run as a Republican. I hadn’t thought about that before. He was a Democrat. He donated money to the Planned Parenthood organization. He is not against abortion. He thinks Iraq was a big mistake and that President Bush intentionally lied to America about Iraq because he needed a war to save his own skin. Sounds like a Democrat to me.
