: : : Anybody read "Guantanamo Diary"? It's the diary of a man who has been held in the Guantanamo military prison (without being charged) for fourteen years.

: : I saw a discussion about it on Book TV this weekend. An amazing story that reveals a lot about how the U.S. military works.

: It is an amazing story. And even more amazing that it actually got out so we can learn more about what has been going on down there at that Guantanamo military prison. The matter of fact descriptions of systematic torture carried out by U.S. soldiers are truly shocking.

Yes, he was tortured. And yet he forgave them, and even became friends with some of his guards. Very Christian of him (he is a Muslim).
