Of course there is mistrust of the US government. This administration is using an old 1917 espionage act to try to turn whistleblowers into traitors. It's because they want to keep everything they are doing secret. They say it is all perfectly legal, but if that is so, why did they classify it as top secret? More likely they kept it secret because they knew we wouldn't like it.
: CNN is showing a special on this Snowden flight to Moscow issue right now. They are suggesting the US government is helping Snowden get to Ecuador so he can't be brought back to this country where he would have a speaking forum at his trial. Whether that is true or not, it shows how much distrust there is of the US government right now.
: : This morning, we hear Edward Snowden, the NSA leaker, is on the move out of Hong Kong. Supposedly with the help of WikiLeaks, he's flown to Moscow and is heading for Cuba. I'm surprised there hasn't been more discussion about the NSA leaks on this forum.
