That agent offers some advice about email queries, specifically what to put in the subject line.
She says she SORTS her MANY email queries by the subject line. Here is her advice:
GOOD: Query for (TITLE OF YOUR BOOK HERE)
BETTER: Query for (TITLE OF YOUR BOOK HERE) a novel OR non-fiction
BEST: Query for (TITLE OF YOUR BOOK HERE) a novel OR non-fiction/category
Bad: A TITLE
Bad: RE: Query for... (RE: That makes her think it's a reply to a query)
Worse: Hi or Hello!
The best approach is, as always, to read the submissions page at the agent's web site. It will usually tell you what to write as the email subject line.
